Tips for Submitting a Band to Buffy Prom
Make sure you're choosing a band whose music is from the 90s/early 2000s. Buffy ran from 1997-2003.
Make sure you're choosing just one band to cover. We don't accept medley bands.
If you've never watched Buffy before, give it a go to get the vibe. We're trying to emanate the energy of the Bronze (the underage-friendly club in Buffy the Vampire Slayer), so see it for yourself. (You don't have to choose a band that plays there in the show, but many actual bands did!)
If you were in a band that played last year, consider taking a rest this year and attend as a civilian. Or, if you want to submit again, choose new bandmates who haven't played before! We want to give new people a chance to play every year.
If you want to submit but are having trouble finding bandmates, email us and tell us what you want to do and what you're looking for. We are well-connected and would love to help bring folks together.
Buffy Prom has been getting more submissions every year, which means we have to turn bands down. If you aren't chosen, it's not because you did anything wrong or aren't good enough! We hate having to say no to anyone, but there is limited space. If you don't get accepted, please try again the following year!
